Rakshabandhan...

Raksha Bandhan the word itself gives an idea about the meaning of the word ......
it is the relation of protecting that is committed by the brother to his sister. sisters tire rakhi on the hand of their brothers...
it is said this festival started some about 6000 years back in history during the war between gods and demons...
it is vastly celebrated by the Indians and this year the festival was accompanied by the 73rd independence day in India so the celebration was doubled.

During our school days, we compete with our friends for having more rakhi on our hand and used to have quarreled about this that was days when we have all our hands full off of rakhis.
In school, we were supposed to carry a bar of chocolate to give to the one who ties us the rakhi.

Today it was a very busy day both at house and streets as people going to their relatives for the celebrations... this festival has separate excitement for the brothers whose sisters are married as they come for the day or we can a special day...

Brothers use to give the gift or money or something and sisters give the sweet box to their brothers
not only the Hindus but also the Muslims, Punjabis also celebrate this festival,
and on this special day the local Women NGOs and schools near to army base camps use to tie rakhi to the Jawans(Army men) as they cannot go to their homes for every festival...

As we all know that Rakshabandhan is the Indian festivals and as is stated the meaning of the day but is the darkest truth that According to UNs survey of the countries most unsafe for the women's India is one the unsafe country for women`s.

so make the safer and better world for the women`s as it is the woman who makes the man complete or gives the birth the new life and also Save a girl child.....
